EXECUTIVE


Julian Clark, Chief Executive Officer

Julian joined The Lancemore Group in 2007 and became CEO in 2008. Under his tenure the group has grown from its first three hotels to what it is today – a multi-branded national hotel group with an enviable track record of success for all stakeholders and one of Australia’s most awarded hotel groups.

Julian has always been keen on giving back to the industry, and has held board or President roles at peak Accommodation and Tourism bodies such as AAoA, MCB, VTIC & IACC.  Prior to his appointment as CEO, Julian worked with several leading financial services organisations in corporate strategy and strategic marketing roles in the UK and Australia.



Luke Moran, Chief Operating Officer

Luke joined The Lancemore Group in 2019 as Chief Operating Officer. An experienced hospitality executive with over 25 years in hotel operations, Revenue Management, Distribution, Sales & Marketing and Customer Experience,  Luke has extensive knowledge in leading teams to high performance outcomes. Before joining Lancemore Luke spent the last 10 years on the executive of the publicly listed Mantra Group, leading teams across Revenue Management, Sales and Marketing, Distribution and Contact centres. Prior to this Luke has worked for Langham Hotels, Starwood, Accor and Hayman Island in a variety of roles and destinations across Asia Pacific and Australia

Luke currently sits on several industry advisory Board roles including a member of the Victorian advisory branch of AAOA, HSMAI Asia Pacific Revenue management advisory board and the Bond University Tourism advisory Board.



Adam Taloni, Group Director People & Performance

A multi-award winning General Manager, Adam brings over twenty years of managerial experience within the Australian hotel sector for both boutique, and large sector businesses.

Adam launched to market Sydney’s prevalent Ovolo Wooloomooloo and Peppers Broadbeach on the Gold Coast as General Manager where he secured places for these hotels as number two and number one respectively in Australia on Trip Advisor. During his tenure at Ovolo Hotels, he also won the “General Manager of the Year” award at the prestigious 2016 HM Awards. He has also worked as Group General Manager for Vanity Group, as well as Area Manager for the Mantra Group for over two years where he won the “Mantra Group GM of the Year” in 2009.

Adam has now taken his passion for people, and turned it inside-out, heading up all things People & Culture with Lancemore.



Andrew Turner, Group Director of Development

Andrew joined the Lancemore Group in 2018 to drive the group's expansion throughout Australia and New Zealand. One of the industry’s most successful and respected hoteliers, Andrew served as CEO of Mirvac Hotels and Resorts where he grew the business from 7 properties under management with assets valued at $150 million to 48 properties under management with assets valued at $1.8 billion. More recently, he held the role of EVP – Development Mantra Group (Asia) and EVP Hotel Operations for SilverNeedle Hospitality.  Andrew is an inductee of the HM Magazine Hall of Fame and recipient of the Hotelier of the Year award. 



Susan Standring, Design and Technical Services Consultant

Susan has a background in hotel strategy and interior design.  She brings a curiosity and passion in discovering, analysing and developing new ways in hotel planning, amplifying brand and enhancing operational efficiency through design.


Susan combines her Design and Technical review through the lens of owner/developer/operator, informing a pragmatic review on construction and refurbishments of our hotels.

She coordinates the design brief, working with our Strategic and Operations team to ensure the design of our hotels aligns with demand drivers, site context, brand standards and technical guide.  The outcome is each property experience conveys the Lancemore DNA of ‘Curated Spaces’.



Chantelle Veness, Group Director of Sales & Marketing

Chantelle has led the Sales & Marketing team at Lancemore since February 2013, following more than a decade in the accommodation sector with celebrated brands such as Accor, Le Meridien and Mirvac Hotels. Her experience across all facets of the sales and marketing mix has been pivotal to the expansion of our portfolio with new properties under management such as Alamanda Palm Cove and Larmont Sydney.

 


Rhys Jones, Regional General Manager

Rhys brings over two decades of hospitality management experience with expertise driving bold visions from concept to operationalisation, establishing and evolving disruptive concepts and brands with unique offerings and differentiation in market. Having spent the last fourteen years at the highest level in several senior executive positions for some of the world’s leading names including QT Hotels & Resorts and Rydges Hotels & Resorts. Rhys played a significant role in launching QT Hotels & Resorts into the Australian market, leading the business to achieve multiple local and international accolades. 



Scott Williams, Area General Manager

Scott brings over ten years’ experience managing operations and strategy for global hotel and resort properties including Intercontinental Hotels & Resorts and Crowne Plaza Hotels. Obtaining the Hotel Leader of the year in 2011, Scott’s multifaceted expertise in luxury and upscale hotels has proven success in implementing systems and processes, facilitating operational efficiency, maximizing productivity, increasing employee satisfaction, and enhancing guest experience. 



Natalie McNamara, Area General Manager

Natalie joined Lancemore Hotels in late 2013, bringing with her a diverse understanding of Operations across Major Events and Complex International Projects. Natalie has been involved across many aspects of the Lancemore portfolio throughout her tenure with the boutique hotel group, from Managing Multi Million dollar refurbishments and leading teams to achieve numerous accolades. With a passion for creativity and interactive guest experiences, Natalie’s experience of both Operations and Sales provides a perfect combination for Lancemore Hotel’s diverse portfolio of outlets.
